Welcome to the 2nd National Symposium on Evidence-Based Veterinary Medicine!
This symposium aims to offer a comprehensive overview of crucial issues for contemporary veterinary clinical practice. During the morning, we will explore general issues related to the current state of evidence-based teaching and research in veterinary medicine, particularly in alternative therapies.
We will also address the problem of predatory scientific publications and artificial intelligence.
In the afternoon, we will focus specifically on musculoskeletal pain management, with a focus on canine and feline osteoarthritis. With the help of experts in physical medicine and rehabilitation, this session will provide a solid understanding of how to properly evaluate and interpret the available scientific evidence, in particular on the usefulness of complementary physiotherapy therapies.
Join us on May 17th to explore the impact of evidence-based medicine on veterinary clinical practice.
This symposium is financed by national funds through FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, I.P., within the scope of the project PTDC/CED-EDG/0187/2020
